You Should Totally Make A Game!
We need more people making games -- especially in Michigan. But you don't have to make the next Angry Birds or Words With Friends; I'm talking about board games, card games or really any form of gaming. In the span of five minutes (yikes!) I'm going to try to convince you that you should totally make a game!

Cool! I have some ideas for games, and I need some help and inspiration to get them off the ground (and get me off my butt).

This is really an uplifting idea. The thought, and feeling, that you are creating something that will bring people together has got to excite you. People - especially in MIchigan - partly do to our tough economic times, have often been "cocooning." To add to that, with the advent of personal "just use your thumbs" games, I think we have lost our enjoyment (and maybe some capability) of interacting with one another. "That game maker" would be, in many ways, doing a great service.

I love this idea! I run a Detroit-based video game publication, and would love to hear more about the local scene growing. :)

We actually have a brand new game here in Michigan out on the market and would love to be apart of this event! Is there a contact person I can get in touch with? www.getroshambo.com

I think this would be a great idea! I tried getting a gaming tablet company going here in Detroit years ago, and have a bunch of games and aps laying around that could be used for baselines with some good game designers picking up the slack!
